I believe that clients are the experts in their own care, and that they should be active participants in a collaborative therapeutic alliance.  As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I received my master’s degree from Regis University in 2022. In addition to formal training, I have done extensive independent training to deepen my expertise in integrative and functional medicine.

I hold a certification in integrative psychiatry from the Institute of Integrative Psychiatry in Boulder, Colorado. I have also sought additional integrative/functional education and training through Psychiatry Redefined as well as other highly esteemed integrative professional organizations.

As an integrative mental health provider, I offer a holistic approach to care, using a combination of traditional, alternative and complimentary modalities providing more options for clients. I aim to delve deeper into the reasons behind a person’s mental health struggles, not just provide temporizing treatments that come with unpleasant side effects. Utilizing an exhaustive array of
functional testing modalities, integrative practitioners look for root causes of issues that can often be corrected using lifestyle modifications, nutrition, botanical and herbal supplements. It is important to me to personalize care for every individual, based on their unique circumstances, physiology, genetics and biochemistry.

Prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I worked in emergency and critical care for over 30 years. As a helicopter EMS flight nurse for nearly 14 years, I have a deep and personal understanding of the first responder community, which remains one of my focused populations for mental health care.

I am a Colorado native, who enjoys time outside in the mountains, four-footed friends, gardening, family time, artistic outlets, antiques and any kind of puzzle.

Areas of interest/expertise include ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, gut health assessment and repair, PANS/PANDAS, organic acid testing, mental health nutrition, in-depth genetic assessment and counseling, and guided psychiatric medication discontinuation strategies. ​
